Traffic Circle Improvements

Sealed bids are being accepted for the construction of Burnham Borough's proposed Traffic Circle Improvements project. The bids must be submitted to the office of Burnham Borough at 200 1st Avenue, Burnham, PA 17009 by 12:00pm local time on September 8. The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud during the Borough Council meeting that evening at 7:00pm.Two prime contracts are available: Contract 1 for general construction, which includes demolition, concrete curbing, concrete sidewalks, bollard installation, and seeding and mulching; and Contract 2 for electrical work, which includes lighting demolition and new lighting installation with wiring.The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is Keller Engineers, Inc., located at 420 Allegheny Street, Hollidaysburg, PA 16648. Interested bidders can examine the bidding documents at this office from Monday to Friday, between 8:00am and 5:00pm. Bidders must obtain copies of the documents as described below.Bid documents are available as PDF files on a thumb drive for a non-refundable charge of $25, which includes shipping. Printed copies can be obtained from the Issuing Office for a deposit of $50. Bidders who return full sets of the documents in good condition within 10 days after receipt of bids will receive a full refund. Checks should be made payable to 'Keller Engineers, Inc.'. The Issuing Office will also transmit documents via delivery service upon request, with the shipping charge depending on the selected method. The date of transmission will be considered the bidder's date of receipt.Partial sets of documents will not be available. The owner and engineer are not responsible for documents obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Bid security must be provided in accordance with the Information for Bidders. Pennsylvania State Prevailing Wage rates and additional state requirements will apply to all work. The Borough of Burnham reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities.
