State Timber Sale Berried Butte GNA Ton

A public oral auction will be held at the Idaho Department of Lands office located at 3258 W. Industrial Loop, Coeur d'Alene, ID 83815, at 10:00 local time on Wednesday, September 9, 2026. This auction is for an estimated 56,044 tons of timber that is marked or otherwise designated for cutting. Additionally, there is an unestimated volume of forest products that the purchaser may remove at their option. Eligible bidders must present a certified check or bank draft made payable to the Idaho Department of Lands, or a bid bond that is acceptable to the State, in the amount of $125,694.92, which represents 10% of the appraised net sale value of $1,256,949.24. The average minimum bid price is set at $27.96 per ton. If the successful bidder fails to complete the contract, their deposit will be forfeited to the State. Bids will not be accepted from parties who are delinquent on payments for existing state contracts. The sale is situated within Sections 19, 20, 21, 28, 29, and 30 of Township 51N, Range 02W; and Sections 23, 24, 26, 27, and 28 of Township 51N, Range 03W, B.M., Kootenai County, State of Idaho. The duration of the sale is four years. The sale may include blowdown and/or insect and disease-infected timber, which could lead to additional volume and recovery reductions. Interested purchasers should thoroughly examine the sale and make their own estimates regarding volume recovery, surface conditions, and proposed construction before bidding.
