Request for Contractor Qualifications

Saint Joseph's Carpenter Society (SJCS) is seeking to prequalify licensed, insured, and bonded General Contractors to provide material and labor bids for a redevelopment project located at 2631 Federal Street in Camden City, NJ. Interested contractors must respond to a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to obtain the scope of work for the project. The RFQ can be requested via email at mmorgan@sjcscamden.org or can be picked up in person at their offices starting August 21st, 2026. Qualifications must be submitted to SJCS by September 2, 2026, at 11:00 AM. Minority Business Enterprises (MBE) are strongly encouraged to apply and will not face discrimination based on race, color, gender, or national origin during the selection process. This project is funded by NJ EDA, and selected contractors must adhere to all applicable NJ EDA requirements. SJCS will select contractors based on the most advantageous qualifications to be included in a pool for future bidding opportunities. The lowest responsible bidder will be chosen based on price and other considerations. Awarded contractors must comply with various state and federal regulations, including those related to public works, prevailing wage, and affirmative action. SJCS reserves the right to reject any proposals deemed not in its best interest and to waive minor irregularities in submitted proposals. Responses to the RFQ must be physically delivered to SJCS by September 2nd at 11:00 AM at 20 Church Street, Camden, NJ. Emailed submissions will not be accepted. Questions regarding the RFQ must be submitted by August 28th at 12:00 PM, and late submissions will be considered invalid. All submissions should be in a sealed envelope addressed to SJCS, Attn: Mike Morgan, with the company name and project details clearly marked.
