Ford F-550 4x4 Gas Type 1 Ambulances

The Plainfield Fire Protection District is currently seeking bids for up to two Ford F-550 4x4 Gas Type 1 Ambulances. Interested bidders can obtain the bid package along with specifications at the Plainfield Fire Protection Headquarters located at 23748 W. 135th Street, Plainfield, Illinois 60544, during regular business hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., or they can access the documents on the district's website at www.plainfieldfpd.org.Sealed bids must be submitted to the district office by 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 3, 2026. Bids should be clearly marked on the envelope as “NEW AMBULANCE BID”. The bid opening will occur on the same day at approximately 2:15 p.m. at the Plainfield Fire Protection District Headquarters. Attendance at the bid opening is not required for bidders.Bidders should ensure that their pricing reflects the cost for one ambulance, as well as the price if a second ambulance is purchased simultaneously. Late submissions will not be accepted, and it is the responsibility of the bidders to ensure their proposals are received on time. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder who meets the specifications. The district reserves the right to reject any or all bids after the opening and evaluation process, or due to changes in budget or procurement plans. Incomplete or nonresponsive bids may also be rejected.
