Phase I- Replacement of Water Main & Sewer Main Oak Street

The City of Bridgeton is seeking bid proposals for the construction and prevailing wage project outlined in this notice. Sealed or mailed bid proposals will be accepted at the Municipal Clerk's Office located at 181 East Commerce St., Bridgeton, NJ 08302, until the end of the business day on September 3, 2026, at 4:30 PM. For those who wish to attend and submit proposals in person, they will be accepted on September 4, 2026, only during the bid opening at the Municipal Court, located at 330 Fayette Street, Bridgeton, NJ 08302, until 10:00 AM, prevailing time. The City of Bridgeton will not be responsible for any delays in mail or delivery services that may prevent bids from being received on time. Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes clearly marked with the project name. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any immaterial information. Specifications and bid forms, prepared by Robert A. Mulford, III, PE, CME of Fralinger Engineering PA, are available for inspection at their office at 629 Shiloh Pike, Bridgeton, NJ 08302 during business hours. Bidders can obtain a copy of the specifications upon proper notice and prepayment of a non-refundable fee of $50.00 for reproduction costs. Bids must be made using standard proposal forms as required by the specifications and must be enclosed in sealed envelopes that include the bidder's name, address, and project name. Additionally, bids must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bid Bond for 10% of the total bid amount, not exceeding $20,000. A Consent of Surety from an approved Surety Company must also be included with the bid. Bidders who do not submit a Consent of Surety may have their bids automatically rejected. All bidders must be registered with the State and provide proof of registration to the contracting agency before a contract can be awarded. Compliance with New Jersey Business Registration Requirements and the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act is mandatory.
