Installation of Asphalt Pool Park Parking Area

The City of Mt. Pulaski is seeking sealed bids for the installation of an asphalt parking area for the pool park. The project involves an approximate area of 5820 square feet, which measures 291 feet long by 20 feet wide. Bidders are required to excavate the area to a depth of 12 inches, install a minimum of 8 inches of compacted base, and then apply 3 inches of compacted hot mix asphalt. All pricing must be at prevailing wage, and contractors must provide a certificate of insurance before starting any work. Additionally, contractors are required to notify the City of Mt. Pulaski two days prior to commencing work and agree to perform the work only on weekdays between 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM. Bidders must indicate the approximate date they plan to perform the work on their bids, which should be clearly marked 'Pool Park parking'. All bids will be opened during the City Council Meeting on September 8, 2026, at 6:00 PM, where they will be read aloud. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality in the bidding process.
