At this time, bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. The work involves providing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the installation of wildlife perimeter fencing at the airport. Interested bidders may examine the bid documents Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at Goodwyn Mills Cawood, located at 2660 East Chase Lane, Suite 200, Montgomery, AL 36117.Bid documents can be obtained from the issuing office during the specified hours for a one-time administrative fee of $20 for digital access or for each printed set. This fee covers printing, reproduction, handling, and distribution costs, and is non-refundable. Checks for bid documents should be made payable to 'Goodwyn Mills Cawood, LLC.' Partial sets of bid documents will not be available from the issuing office. The owner and engineer will not be responsible for any bid documents obtained from sources other than the issuing office.Each proposal must include a bid guaranty of 5% of the total bid amount, not exceeding $50,000. The bid guaranty can be in the form of a certified check or bid bond made payable to the Gadsden Airport Authority. Bidders must be licensed under the provisions of Title 34, Chapter 8, Code of Alabama, 1975, and must provide evidence of their license before bidding. This evidence should be displayed on the outside of the envelope containing the proposal. Bids may be held by the Gadsden Airport Authority for up to 120 days from the bid opening date for evaluation purposes.
