Transylvania County New Courthouse Building

Sealed lump sum bids are sought for the Transylvania County New Courthouse Building project located in Brevard, North Carolina. Bids will be received from pre-qualified bidders and will be opened and read aloud by the Architect on September 23, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. at the Transylvania County Multi-Purpose Chambers in the Administration Building, 101 South Broad Street, Brevard, NC 28712.A pre-bid conference for all prequalified bidders is scheduled for September 2, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the same location. Attendance is mandatory for prequalified prime bidders.Bidders must be prequalified by the Owner and must hold the necessary licenses as per state laws. They are also required to obtain insurance and bonds as specified. A Performance Bond and a separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, each for 100% of the Contract Amount, will be required from the successful bidder. Additionally, bids must include a bid bond or certified check for 5% of the base bid amount. Bids are binding for 60 days post-opening, and no bids may be withdrawn during this period.Bids should be submitted using the provided Bid Form in a sealed envelope that includes the bidder's name, address, contractor's license number, and project identification. All submissions must comply with North Carolina state laws.For online access to procurement and contracting documents, bidders should contact the Architect after August 26, 2026. Documents can also be examined at the Architect's office after this date.
