C-19(573) Bank Stabilization

Sealed bids are being accepted by the Colfax County Clerk until September 8, 2026, at 10:30 am for the construction of a channel bank stabilization and riprap project. The bids will be opened shortly after the deadline and presented to the Board of Commissioners for consideration. The project is located along the East Fork Maple Creek, just west of Road 17 between Road N and Road 0 in Colfax County, Nebraska.The project involves channel shaping of the East Fork Maple Creek bank, placement of rock riprap, grading, and related incidental work. All labor, materials, transportation, and equipment necessary for the project must be included.All bid proposals must be submitted using the forms provided with the bid documents. Bids can be mailed or delivered to the County Clerk of Colfax County at the Colfax County Courthouse, 411 East 11th St., Schuyler, NE 68661, and should be clearly marked as "C-19(573) Bank Stabilization." Each bidder must also submit an unconditional bid bond or certified check made payable to the County Treasurer of Colfax County, Nebraska, in an amount equal to five percent of the bid proposal. Bidders should include an estimated time for beginning and completing the project, with the desired completion date set for December 31, 2026. The successful bidder will have thirty-five calendar days for completion after beginning work on-site. Additional time due to weather may be granted at the discretion of the Engineer.Within ten days of the contract award, the successful bidder must provide a surety bond or bonds in an amount equal to or greater than the full contract amount, subject to acceptance by the Colfax County Board of Commissioners. The Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids or waive any irregularities in the bids received. The award of the contract will follow the competitive bidding considerations outlined in the County Purchasing Act. Colfax County is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
