Borough Building Generator Replacement

Sealed proposals will be received by the Borough of Edgeworth of Allegheny County, Pennsylvania through the Quest Construction Data Network (QuestCDN) at www.questcdn.com until 11:30 AM prevailing time on September 8, 2026 for Contract No. 26-E1. The work involves the removal and replacement of the existing emergency generator, which includes the modification of the existing concrete pad, natural gas supply, intake and exhaust facilities, connection to the existing automatic transfer switch and fusible main building disconnect switch, conduit, wiring, controls, and all necessary appurtenances and restoration for the construction located at the Edgeworth Borough Municipal Building.All bidders are required to purchase the Bid Documents in PDF format for a non-refundable deposit of $125.00 from QuestCDN using project number 10309498. Proposals must be submitted on the forms provided by the Borough of Edgeworth. The bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to the Borough of Edgeworth to guarantee the bidder's entrance into the contract if awarded. No bid bond shall be waived or returned due to the Bidder's failure to comply with any requirements set forth in the plans, specifications, or applicable statutes of the State of Pennsylvania or municipal ordinances.The Borough of Edgeworth reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any informalities in the bidding process. No bid may be withdrawn for ninety (90) calendar days after the scheduled time for receipt of bids. Attention is directed to the fact that procurement is subject to all requirements of the Pennsylvania Steel Products Procurement Act and for contracts exceeding $25,000, the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act and The Public Works Employment Verification Act apply. The Borough of Edgeworth will award the construction contract to the lowest responsible bidder or reject all bids received within ninety (90) days of the bid opening. However, the Borough may delay such award or rejection for up to one hundred twenty (120) days from the bid opening date until all required approvals from other governmental agencies are received. Bidders will be required to comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
