The Wyoming State Construction Department, Procurement Section, on behalf of the Wyoming Department of Correction will be accepting Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) until 1:00 p.m. MT on September 24, 2026, through the Public Purchase online bidding system from licensed architects/engineers/consultants for Wyoming Women's Center Boiler Replacement project at Wyoming Women’s Center in Lusk, WY. Project Description: The scope of work details the engineering and architectural services required to replace three existing boilers—two commercial units at the Wyoming Women’s Correctional Facility and one light-commercial unit at the Warden’s Residence—that meet or exceed the specification of the high-efficiency condensing boiler types, like Patterson-Kelley (P-K), at the facility. The initial phase focuses on field investigation, comprehensive site assessments, and accurate load calculations to determine correct boiler sizing, piping configurations, and venting needs. Crucially, this phase also establishes security protocols for working within the correctional environment and addresses potential insulation abatement requirements prior to demolition. The subsequent phases encompass detailed A/E design and the production of construction documentation. The engineering design covers primary/secondary mechanical piping, gas supply resizing, Category IV corrosion-resistant venting, condensate neutralization, electrical upgrades, and the integration of boiler controls into the facility's overall Building Automation System. Architecturally and structurally, the design specifies required maintenance clearances, structural housekeeping pads, and wall or roof penetrations. The effort culminates in sealed drawings, regulatory permit submittals to state authorities, and bid management support.
