Sealed bids labeled 'Forbes Water 2026' will be accepted until 7:30 P.M. Mountain Local Time on September 14, 2026, at City Hall, Main Street, Madrid, NE 69150. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at that time. Late submissions will not be accepted.The project involves several major items including the installation of 6" C900 Water Pipe, various fittings, and road repairs. The work should commence within 30 days of the Notice to Proceed and must be completed by June 1, 2027, unless weather conditions cause delays. Payment for the work will be made during the fiscal year starting October 1, 2026.Bidders must include a certified check, Bid Bond, or equivalent security in a separate sealed envelope, amounting to at least 5% of their total Base Bid. Proposals cannot be withdrawn for at least 30 days following the bid submission deadline. A 100% Performance Bond and a Labor & Material Bond must be provided by the successful bidder within 10 days of receiving the Notice of Award.Contract documents can be reviewed at the office of the Engineer, T.C. Engineering Inc., located at 1 South Sycamore, North Platte, Nebraska 69101, or can be requested via email. Bidders may also be required to submit a Contractor's Qualification Statement and a surety certificate prior to the bid opening.The Village reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities. The bid deemed most beneficial to the Village of Madrid will be accepted.
