Borough Park Improvements - Phase II

Sealed bids will be received by Bell Acres Borough, Allegheny County, at 1153 Camp Meeting Road, Sewickley PA 15143, until 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at which time they will be opened and read aloud. Bids may be considered and awarded at a meeting held by Bell Acres Borough Council on Monday, September 14, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. The work includes the construction of a new asphalt sports court for basketball and pickleball, the application of a four-coat acrylic sports court surface system, and other miscellaneous work. An alternate bid includes the installation of ADA concrete walkways. Proposals and bid documents can be obtained from Shoup Engineering Inc. at 329 Summerfield Drive, Baden, Economy Borough, Pennsylvania 15005, by calling 724-869-9560. A non-refundable fee of $100.00 is required, payable to Shoup Engineering prior to distribution. Proposals must be submitted using the original forms provided by the Borough. Pennsylvania Prevailing minimum wage rates will apply. Each bidder must submit a bid bond or cashier's check as bid security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid amount made payable to the Borough. No bids may be withdrawn within sixty (60) days after the date of opening. A Performance Bond and a Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the bid amount, along with an 18-month Maintenance Bond in the amount of 10% of the contract amount, will be required. Bell Acres Borough reserves the right to reject any or all bids either in whole or in part, to waive any informalities, and to alter the scope of work. Compliance with various acts and ordinances related to minority and female business enterprises, as well as veteran-owned small businesses, is required.
