South Street Sanitary Sewer Main Replacement

The City of Anna, Illinois, is inviting sealed bids for the replacement of an existing 8-inch sanitary sewer main located within South Street in Anna, Illinois. The project involves the replacement of approximately 160 linear feet of the existing sewer main, which is situated about 10 feet below grade within the roadway. The work includes excavation and removal of the existing sewer pipe, roots, debris, and other obstructions in the project area, followed by the installation of a new 8-inch sanitary sewer main with all necessary connections and appurtenances. Additionally, proper bedding, backfilling, compaction, and restoration of the excavated area will be required to ensure a stable roadway base. All construction debris and unsuitable materials must be removed and disposed of, and the affected portion of South Street must be restored and paved after the sewer replacement is completed. Contractors are responsible for verifying existing site conditions and taking necessary precautions regarding existing underground utilities and infrastructure.Sealed bids must be clearly marked as "South Street 8-Inch Sewer Main Replacement Bid" and submitted to the City of Anna at 103 Market Street, Anna, Illinois 62906. Bids must be received no later than 4:00 PM on September 15, 2026. Late submissions will not be considered, and bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at Anna City Hall following the submission deadline. Bidders should provide a lump-sum price for the entire project, covering all labor, materials, equipment, excavation, removal and disposal, installation, backfill and compaction, roadway preparation, paving, traffic control, and site restoration.
