Master Event Operator Services: The Carson Experience/Carson X

The City of Carson (“City”) is seeking Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from highly qualified event production, venue management, and event operations firms to serve as the Master Evern Operator for The Carson Experience/Carson X, a proposed up-to-30-day celebration and global village associated with the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Gamer period and the City’s 60th Anniversary of Cityhood in 2028. The selected Operator will provide integrated event planning, design management, procurement and subcontracting, site build-out, operational readiness, Games-time event operations, and closeout services for the Event.This is a qualifications-based solicitation. The City is seeking a firm with demonstrated experience successfully delivering large-scale, multi-week public events, Olympic or mega-event live sites, fan zones, festivals, or comparable events with significant daily attendance. The City will evaluate respondents based on qualifications, comparable experience, key personnel, organizational capacity, project approach, safety and operational capabilities, financial controls, local participation, and overall ability to successfully deliver a complex, high-profile event in coordination with City departments, public safety agencies, LA28-related stakeholders, venue partners, and other governmental and community stakeholders. Following evaluation, the City may establish a shortlist of the highest-ranked firms and may conduct interviews, request additional information, or negotiate the final scope of services, contract terms, and compensation with one or more qualified firms, as permitted by applicable law and City policy.This solicitation may result in a single award or multiple awards, at the sole discretion of the City, based on respondent qualifications, expertise, capacity, and the City’s evolving needs. The City anticipates awarding within 90 days of the response deadline; however, additional time may be required to complete a thorough evaluation and negotiation process. The intended term of any resulting agreement is 5 years from the commencement date.
