North Avenue Streetscape Improvements Project

The City of Plainfield is seeking sealed bids for the North Avenue Streetscape Improvements Project. This project involves the provision of all necessary labor, materials, and equipment to complete the work outlined in the specifications. The scope of work includes milling, resurfacing with base course repair, concrete curbing, driveway apron repair, miscellaneous sidewalk repair, stormwater system repairs, installation of ADA compliant handicap ramps, tree removal and planting of new trees, installation of concrete and Belgian Block curbs, light poles with foundations and luminaires, control cabinets, meter boxes, regulatory warning signs, benches, gazebo, bollards, trash receptacles, and other site amenities. The project must be completed within 180 days of the notice to proceed.There will be no pre-bid meeting specified for this solicitation.Bidders are required to submit their proposals on the Standard Proposal Forms as designated in the contract documents. All proposals must be enclosed in a sealed envelope that includes the name and address of the bidder along with the name of the work on the outside. Proposals should be addressed to Cynthia Blake, Purchasing Agent, City of Plainfield, Division of Purchasing, 515 Watchung Avenue, Plainfield, NJ 07060, and must include all items specified in the Contract Documents.Interested bidders can download the bid package and forms from the City of Plainfield's official website starting August 19, 2026. The bid documents are available for inspection at the City of Plainfield Purchasing Division during business hours.All bids must be submitted by September 16, 2026, at 11:00 am. The City reserves the right to consider bids for 60 days after receipt and may reject any or all bids.
