Former EGCC Parking Garage Demolition

Sealed proposals will be received by the Western Reserve Port Authority until 1:00 pm Tuesday, September 29, 2026, at the Office of The Western Reserve Port Authority, 100 E Federal St, Suite 422, Youngstown, OH 44503, and opened and read for the demolition of a 4-story parking garage located at 101 E. Federal St., Youngstown, OH 44503. The project involves demolishing a structure that occupies a city block in downtown Youngstown. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at the office of the Western Reserve Port Authority on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at 1:00 pm. Bidders must provide a bid guaranty as required by Ohio Revised Code (ORC) 153.54, which can be a certified check for five percent (5%) of the proposal or a bid bond for ten percent (10%). Additionally, corporations not chartered in Ohio must provide proper certifications to show they are licensed to do business in Ohio. All contractors and subcontractors must be enrolled in the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation Drug Free Workplace Program or an approved equivalent. They must also comply with the minimum prevailing wages set by the Federal Davis-Bacon Industrial Wage Division. Bidders must ensure non-discrimination in employment practices based on race, color, sex, or national origin. The Western Reserve Port Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities. Bidders should indicate the project being bid (EGCC Parking Garage Demolition) on the outside of the sealed envelope containing the bid.
