This bid is for labor only and all material will be supplied by Val Verde County.The Val Verde County Purchasing Department will be accepting sealed bids until 2:00 P.M. on September 3rd, 2026 at 509 E. GibbsSt., Del Rio Tx, at which time and place will be publicly opened and read aloud. It is the responsibility of the Contractor bidding to use proper scaling,paper width and length, etc. Failure to do so may result in error in the bid amounts.Bidders may submit questions about the project until August 25, 2026 at 4:30 p.m. All questions shall be received by email and shall besent to Carlos Velarde, at cvelarde@valverdecounty.texas.gov. Questions may also be submitted in writing on CivCast’s website atwww.civcastusa.com. Responses will be provided to all prospective bidders via email and posted on both Val Verde County’s websiteand Civcast’s website by August 28, 2026.A Bid Bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid amount issued by an acceptable surety is required with each bid that exceeds$100,000.00. A certified check or bank draft payable to Val Verde County or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may besubmitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. All Bid Bonds must contain original signatures.The successful Bidder must furnish Performance and Payment Bonds each in the amount of 100% of the contract price from anapproved Surety Company holding a permit from the State of Texas to act as Surety and acceptable according to the latest list ofcompanies holding certificates of authority from the Secretary of Treasury of the United States, or other Surety or Sureties acceptableto the Owner. Awarded contractor shall be required to furnish bonds within thirty (30) days of the contract date but before anycommencement of work.The County reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive formalities. In case of ambiguity in stating the price in thebid, the County reserves the right to consider the most advantageous construction thereof or to reject any bids. Also, the Countyreserves the right to accept the low bid based on the tabulation of anyone, combination or all the base bid(s), alternate bid(s) and/or,optional bid(s) based on the most advantageous project bid that is desired by the County involved and that the County in their solejudgment determines is the County's best interest and benefit. Bids may be held by Val Verde County for a period not to exceed sixty(60) days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing and investigating the bidder’s qualifications prior to thecontract award.The successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race,color, religion, sex, sexual identity, gender identity, or national origin. All contractors and/or subcontractors who are debarred,suspended or otherwise excluded from or ineligible for participation on federal assistance programs may not undertake any activityin part or in full under this project.
