Marengo-Union Library District 2026 Concrete Flatwork

This notice invites bidders to submit sealed proposals for concrete flatwork construction for the Marengo-Union Library District. Bids will be received at the library's offices located at 19714 E. Grant Highway, Marengo, IL 60152 until 7:30 P.M. on September 22, 2026. All bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at that time. Bidders should note that proposals may be acted upon at the time of opening or at a later date, but must remain valid for a period of 60 calendar days. Bidding documents will be available for pickup at the library's address or can be downloaded from the library's website starting August 18, 2026. Bidders are required to submit a resume detailing similar projects they have completed, including location, type of work, and approximate completion dates, along with a list of equipment available for the project. The library reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any technicalities. The work location is at 19714 E. Grant Highway, Marengo, IL 60152. The project entails providing all necessary labor, materials, and equipment for the concrete flatwork as per the plans prepared by Condon Engineering, dated July 14, 2026. A bid security in the form of a Bidder's bond, Cashier's check, Certified check, or Bank draft amounting to 10% of the bid total must accompany the bid. The construction schedule is set to commence on a mutually convenient date no later than October 26, 2026, with completion required within 14 days of the start date.
