2026-2027 Bulk Treated Salt

The Joliet Township Road District is inviting sealed bids for the 2026-2027 Bulk Treated Salt. The specifications require Sodium Chloride (NaCl) with a minimum purity content of 95 percent or an acceptable approved alternate. Bids must be submitted to the Office of the Township Clerk at the Joliet Township Government Office, located at 175 W. Jefferson Street, Joliet, IL 60432, before 3:30 P.M. on Tuesday, September 8, 2026. After this time, all proposals will be publicly opened at the Town Hall meeting room at the same address, where the bid price will be read aloud.Material proposal forms can be obtained from the Office of the Township Clerk during business hours, which are Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM and from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. For any questions regarding the proposal forms, bidders can contact the Clerk at 815-726-4781 ext. 309 or via email at clerk@joliettownship.net. Electronic forms are also available on the Joliet Township website under the bids section.All bidders must comply with the Responsible Bidders Act of the State of Illinois. The successful bidder will be required to provide performance security and a Certificate of Insurance as outlined in the bid documents. The Highway Commissioner reserves the right to reject any and all bids or to waive technical errors or omissions. The contract will be subject to the Prevailing Wage Act as required by law. Bidders are not allowed to withdraw their bids within 30 days after the opening date.
