Renovations to the First Floor of 124 W. Main Street

Sealed bids are being sought for the renovations at 124 W. Main Street in Prattville. The bids will be received by the City Clerk in the Council Chambers at City Hall until 2:00 PM CDT on September 3, 2026, at which time they will be publicly opened and read aloud. A non-mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for August 20, 2026, at 10:00 AM CDT in the same location. Contractors are encouraged to visit the site to assess conditions before submitting proposals. Site visits can be arranged by emailing amy.hilliard@prattvilleal.gov.To be eligible for consideration, bids must be submitted on the original proposal provided by the Architects. Bid documents, including drawings and specifications, can be requested by emailing vanessa.newton@nasarchi.com with the subject line 'Project CB'. These documents are the only ones endorsed by the Architect, who retains ownership and copyrights. No bid documents will be distributed later than 24 hours before the bid opening.All requests for information (RFIs) regarding the bid documents must be submitted to the Architect by August 21, 2026, at 5:00 PM CDT. Inquiries via telephone or fax will not be accepted. A certified check or bid bond of at least 5% of the bid amount, not exceeding $10,000, must accompany each sealed proposal. This serves as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into a contract and execute performance and payment bonds within 14 days of contract award. The successful bidder must provide a 100% performance bond and a 50% payment bond from an approved surety company.Contractors must apply for all necessary permits, with local permit fees waived by the City of Prattville. Bidders must be licensed contractors in Alabama and provide evidence of such with their bid. The City of Prattville is an equal opportunity employer. Bidders may not withdraw their bids within ninety days from the bid submission date.
