Design and Construction of a Salt Storage Shed

The Delano Township Board of Supervisors is seeking sealed bids for the design and construction of a salt storage shed under a single contract. Bids must be submitted to the office of the Project Manager, Hometown Municipal Services, LLC, located at 30 Holland Street, Tamaqua, PA 18252, by 4:00 PM on September 2, 2026. The bids will be publicly opened and read at the Delano Township Board of Supervisors regular meeting on the same day at 6:00 PM at the Delano Township Fire Company, located at Birch and Beech Street, Delano, PA 18220.Project documents are available electronically and can be requested via email at bill@hometownms.com or by calling Hometown Municipal Services, LLC at 570-225-6459. Any inquiries regarding the project documents should be directed to the Project Manager's office.Bids must include a bid security of ten percent (10%) of the total bid amount. All bids will remain valid for sixty (60) calendar days. The work must be completed by October 24, 2026. The scope of work includes providing all necessary labor and materials for the design and construction of a salt shed measuring 16' wide by 32' long by 16' high on Delano Township property. Detailed specifications can be found in the project manual and bid documents. The successful bidder will need to provide a satisfactory performance bond and a labor and material payment bond, each amounting to 100% of the contract price, with a corporate surety approved by the owner. The project documents also outline the applicability of Pennsylvania prevailing wage laws. Delano Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids or portions thereof and to accept any bid or portion of a bid that it deems in the best interest of the Township. Delano Township and its representatives are not responsible for bids that are mailed but not received. All bids must be sealed and labeled as specified in the project documents.
