Nutanix Virtual Infrastructure Support and Enhancement

The New York State Department of Health intends to contract with PKA Technologies, Inc. for  the Nutanix Virtual Infrastucture Support and Enhancement services for the term of 10/01/2026 thriugh 09/30/29.  A competitive procurement for this service was not feasible because the Departmernt selected PKA Technologies as the vendor following procurement guidelines.  PKA was initially selected in the order of precedence as an MWBE using the Departments Discretionary Authority with a plan to submit to OSC. Due to the nature of this work and current market quotes often expiring within days or a week.  By the time the Department was able to pull all paperwork and approval needed for submission to OSC the quote had expired.  Is is understandable that this quote increased, and we are now over our Discretionary authority. This being an urgent need and health and safety concern the Department requests to move forward with this award. PKA was also selected due to the exclusivity and partner alignment with Nutanix.  Nutanix pricing provides its most competitive (best) pricing to the first qualified partner that registers the opportunity.  As a result, PKA, having secured the registration, is uniquely positioned to offer the lowest available cost for this proposed soltuion.  Any alternative reseller would be unable to access equivalent pricing, resulting in higher overall project cost for the State.
