Construction Manager Services (Construction Phase) for Renovation and Addition for Wellness & Recreation Clark Hall; Construct Geothermal Wellfield Parker Hall; Renovate Parker Hall

The State University Construction Fund is seeking statements of qualifications from firms to provide Construction Manager (CM) Agency services for the following projects at the University at Buffalo: ·         Renovation and Addition for Wellness & Recreation – Clark Hall (Project 281014-00) ·         Construct Geothermal Wellfield – Parker Hall (Project 281008-08) ·         Renovate Parker Hall (Project 281008-07) Project 281014-00 is for the comprehensive renovation of Clark Hall gymnasium building, constructed in 1937, is a 109,000 GSF, three-story building. The work includes replacement of all interior finishes, mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems. The Project will also include a 15,290 GSF, two-story addition to provide first floor lobby space and second floor recreation courts as well as a new geothermal well field. The Project will include the removal of hazardous materials and will provide upgrades to meet current code and ADA requirements. Project 281008-07 is for the comprehensive renovation of Parker Hall, constructed in 1945, is a 119,000 GSF, three-story building to provide updated instructional and support space for the School of Social Work and the School of Architecture. The work includes replacement of all interior finishes, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems, restoration of building envelope, including replacement of roof and windows. The Project will include demolition and reconstruction of the South wing and construction of a green energy hub that will serve adjacent buildings. The Project will include the removal of hazardous materials and will provide upgrades to meet current code and ADA requirements. Project 281008-08 is for the installation of a 320-well geothermal wellfield within a parking lot adjacent to Parker Hall, with wells drilled to a depth of approximately 750 feet.  All wells will be interconnected and routed to a common vault containing a capped manifold for future connection. The Project will include all geothermal piping, site improvements including grading and drainage modifications, retention of the existing storm drainage system with new connections as required, installation of new electrical infrastructure for parking lot lighting, and replacement of electric vehicle charging stations along with parking lot reconstruction. Submissions should emphasize the firm’s significant past experience in providing construction phase CM services for public institutions and institutional clients in a complete and expeditious manner. Note:  The Fund will be awarding one (1) Construction Manager contract inclusive of services for the three aforementioned projects.  Construction duration from the Notice to Proceed to Substantial Completion of the construction contract is approximately fifty-five (55) months (fifty-two (52) month construction duration plus three (3) month closeout period) The current estimated construction budgets are approximately as follows: Project 281014-00 - $95,837,000Project 281008-08 - $17,082,360Project 281008-07 - $97,844,738 Consultants are required to register for this procurement opportunity on the Fund’s website at:     https://sucf.suny.edu/design-consulting-services/procurements-advertised Once registered, consultants will receive an email with the applicable Request for Qualifications (RFQ) and the link to upload your Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) at the submission deadline.  To register your firm, please “click” on the link Request RFQ Format.  Please complete the registration form and then “click” Submit Registration.
