Notice of Acceptance of Bids for the Purchase of 105 S. White St.

The Village of Homer is inviting bids for the purchase of the property located at 105 S. White St., Homer, Illinois. This property is currently owned by the Village. Bids will be accepted from the date of this advertisement until 5 p.m. on September 14th, 2026. The opening of the bids will take place during the Board of Trustees meeting on the same day at 7:00 p.m. at Village Hall, located at 500 E. Second Street, Homer, Illinois.All bidders must submit their bids in writing to the Village at the address mentioned above or via email at villageofhomer@gmail.com. Bids must include the bidder's name, address, phone number, and email address. The minimum bid amount for the property is $6,500.00. Bidders are required to confirm in writing that they have sufficient funds available for the purchase.Additionally, the sale will include customary prorations, and title insurance will be provided by the Village at closing, as recommended by the Village Attorney. The Village reserves the right to reject or accept any and all bids and may consider the qualifications of bidders. If a bidder proposes a specific use for the property, the Village may take that into account when evaluating the bid, even if it results in a lower purchase price. No bids will be approved until the Village has approved an Ordinance that specifies the terms of the sale.
