2026 Streets Project

The Borough of Port Royal will receive sealed bids for the 2026 Streets Project as defined in the Contract Documents and other associated parts of the work.The Project involves milling to a depth of 1.5 inches up to a total of 960 Square Yards on various alleys, including Half Alley between 2nd Street and 3rd Street, Middle Alley between 2nd Street and 3rd Street, and others as specified. Additionally, a 36-inch-wide notch will be milled at the terminus of Paved Alleys to Existing Alleys/Streets to a depth of 1.5 inches, and a 9.5mm Wearing Course will be placed on Borough Alleys.Procedures for submitting bids and other pertinent information are detailed in the Instructions to Bidders and other contract documents. The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any bid irregularities, and negotiate contract amounts. Bids can be held for up to 60 days by the OWNER, with possible extensions by PA Law to allow for project funding closure.Sealed bids must be submitted on paper directly to Port Royal Borough by 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 2, 2026. The bids will be opened publicly and read aloud at 4:15 p.m. on the same day. A certified check or bank draft payable to the Port Royal Borough or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder will serve as acceptable surety in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total Bid. Bid security and a fully completed Non-Collusion affidavit must be submitted with each bid.Bid documents are available from Port Royal Borough for a cost of $15.00, or they can be viewed at the Borough's Office located at 111 East 8th Street, Port Royal, PA 17082.
