KING COUNTY LIBRARY SYSTEM Request for Qualifications – Electrical Engineering services - Project ID:  2026-RFQ-028 The King County Library System (KCLS) is one of the busiest library systems in the country, serving 1.2 million residents through 48 staffed community libraries, an institutional library (Judge Patricia H. Clark Children and Family Justice Center) and 17 mobile service vehicles. The KCLS service area encompasses 2,100 square miles of rural, suburban, and urban King County surrounding, but not including the City of Seattle, serving 36 municipalities and 18 school districts. KCLS employs over 900 full-time and part-time staff, and circulates over 21 million print, media, and electronic items each year. Established in 1942, per RCW 27.12.040 KCLS is a special purpose taxing district that is governed by a seven-member Board of Trustees and operates under the constitution and laws of the State of Washington. The King County Library System invites qualified vendors to submit statement of qualifications for: Electrical Engineering Consulting Services Project includes: The King County Rural Library District dba King County Library System (KCLS) requests the submittal of statement of qualifications for the following project: Design of a backup power system capable of operating the North Bend Library’s - lighting, HVAC systems, core service operations for up to thirty-six hours during utility outages the design solution should include solar panels, battery system, and generator, if required the system should include automatic transfer from utility power when service is not available The North Bend Library is approximately 9,774 SF located at 115 E 4th Street, North Bend, WA 98045. No submitter may withdraw their submittals after the submission deadline. King County Library System reserves the right to reject any and all submittals for any reason or no reason, to waive informalities and irregularities, to reject any submittals not confirming to the intent and purpose of the RFQ.
