Stand-By Generator at the Grunin Performing Arts Academy

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed bids for the Stand-By Generator at the Grunin Performing Arts Academy for the Ocean County Vocational Technical School will be received at the OCVTS Administration Office, located at 137 Bey Lea Road, Toms River, NJ on September 17, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. At that time, the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Bids will not be accepted after the specified date and time. Bidders must submit two copies of the sealed bids: one original, one paper copy of all documents, and one electronic copy on a USB flash drive. The USB flash drive must be included in the sealed envelope. If the USB flash drive cannot be submitted at the time of the bid opening, it must be provided within 24 hours. Contract documents are available for review at the office of the Architect, YezzI Associates, LLC, located at 18 Washington Street, P.O. Box 1638, Toms River, NJ 08753, phone: 732-240-3433. Contractors may purchase the contract documents for a non-refundable fee of $50.00. If the bidding documents need to be mailed, the Architect must receive a Federal Express, UPS, or Express Mail account number for mailing, along with the bidder's complete street address, phone and fax numbers, a $25.00 handling charge, and $50.00 for the thumb drive prior to mailing. Bidders are required to comply with the Affirmative Action requirements, the Prevailing Wage Act, and the Public Schools Contract Law. All bidders must possess a valid Public Works Contractor's Registration Certificate at the time the bid is received. This project is subject to the Project Labor Agreement. Bidders on a public works project for a Board of Education where the cost of work exceeds $20,000.00 must be qualified by the Department of the Treasury and submit a Prequalification Affidavit, a copy of a valid Notice of Classification, and a certified copy of a Total Amount of Uncompleted Contracts Form. Bid security in the amount of 10% of the total bid must be provided in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond, not to exceed $20,000.00 for bids over $100,000.00. The total price of the construction bid is firm for sixty days, with an option for an additional sixty days if both parties agree. There will be a non-mandatory pre-bid meeting on September 01, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at the project site, 1 College Drive, Building 12, Toms River, NJ 08754. The project is scheduled to start on or about October 05, 2026, and must be completed within 240 calendar days. A Liquidating Damage Clause of $500 per day will apply after the contract completion date. Requests for Information/Clarifications/Addendums must be submitted by September 02, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. using the Yezzi Associates RFI form. Any questions received after this date will be addressed at the discretion of the Architect/Owner. An addendum will be issued on September 03, 2026, if necessary. The Board of Education reserves the right to increase or decrease quantities as specified in the specifications and to reject any and all bids if it is in the public interest.
