Community Greening Initiative - Request for Applications

The New York Power Authority ("NYPA") is issuing a Request for Application (“RFA”) to announce the availability of funding through the NYPA Environmental Justice Community Greening Initiative. This initiative aims to support the community greening projects that promote healthy environments in disadvantaged communities with a nexus to NYPA's operations and across New York State. NYPA is inviting qualified NYS based providers (such as not-for-profit organizations, Indigenous Nations and Tribal organizations, municipalities and state agencies) to submit proposals for projects that align with this vision. Further details on qualifications/requirements can be found in the RFA documents. Proposers are hereby directed to use NYPA’s website (www.nypa.gov/procurement) to obtain complete proposal documents. Applications/Submissions are due October 16, 2026 by 5PM EDT. Submissions must be sent via email to CommunityGreening@nypa.gov.  Diversity Goals: MWBE 30% overall                     Business enterprises awarded an identical or substantially similar procurement contract within the past five years: none Minority / Women Business Enterprise contracting goals (MWBE) Total MWBE Goals: 30.00%
