Concrete, Asphalt and Court Surfaces

The Borough of Fair Lawn is inviting sealed bids for the construction of Concrete, Asphalt and Court Surfaces. Bids must be submitted to the Borough Clerk at the Municipal Building, Council Chambers, 8-01 Fair Lawn Avenue, Fair Lawn, New Jersey 07410, by Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. No bids will be accepted after this date and time. Bidders are required to submit an original copy of their bids in a sealed envelope, which should be clearly marked with the bidder's name and the words 'Public Bid: Concrete, Asphalt and Court Surfaces.' All bids must be written on the bid forms provided in the bid specifications. Bids will be date and time stamped upon receipt, and any bids received after the deadline will be returned unopened. Bidders cannot withdraw their bids within sixty (60) days after the bid opening. Prospective bidders should contact the Borough Clerk's Office via email at bids@fairlawn.org to arrange for the pickup, mailing, or emailing of the bid package. The Borough's summer hours are Monday through Thursday from 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. and Friday from 8:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. The Borough is not responsible for the timely delivery of bid packages. Copies of the bid package are available at no charge after registration with the Borough. Bids cannot be submitted electronically. A certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond of ten percent (10%) of the bid amount, not exceeding $20,000, is required with the bid. This bid bond must be from a surety company authorized to operate in New Jersey and must not contain conditions. Bidders must comply with N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27-1 et seq., and must be registered with the Department of Labor and Workforce Development at the time of bid submission. The successful bidder must provide copies of the New Jersey Business Registration Certificate for itself and all subcontractors before the contract award. The Borough reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive informalities as permitted by law.
