Maintenance Facility and Township Office Roof Replacement Project

The Board of Trustees of Berkshire Township, Delaware County, Ohio, is seeking sealed bids for the Maintenance Facility and Township Office Roof Replacement Project. Bids will be accepted until September 9th at 12:00 noon at the Berkshire Township Administrative Office, located at 1454 Rome Corners Road, Galena, Ohio 43021. At this time, all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. The project involves the complete removal and replacement of the existing metal roofing system at the Berkshire Township Administrative Offices and Road Maintenance Facility. This includes the removal of the existing roofing system and the installation of approximately 15,848 square feet of new 26-gauge prefinished steel roofing, along with synthetic underlayment, flashing, ridge vents, ridge caps, trim, drip edge, and all necessary labor, materials, equipment, permits, disposal, and incidentals to ensure a complete and watertight roofing system.Bid documents and specifications can be obtained from the Berkshire Township Administrative Office during regular business hours, through the township website at www.berkshiretwp.org, or by contacting the Township Administrator. Each bid must include a Bid Guaranty as per Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code, in the form of either a bid bond or certified check equal to ten percent (10%) of the total bid. The successful bidder will be required to provide one hundred percent (100%) Performance and Payment Bonds upon contract award. Bidders must be experienced commercial roofing contractors licensed in the State of Ohio and must provide evidence of qualifications, insurance, and references as specified in the Contract Documents. The Contractor must comply with all applicable provisions of the Ohio Revised Code regarding Prevailing Wage requirements if the project is subject to Ohio Prevailing Wage Law. The Berkshire Township Board of Trustees reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive informalities or irregularities in the bids received, request clarification of bids, and award the contract to the lowest and best responsive and responsible bidder in accordance with Ohio law.
