Basic Generation Service Procurement

Rockland Electric Company (RECO) has filed its Annual Proposal for Basic Generation Service (BGS) Requirements to be Procured Effective June 1, 2027, with the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities. This proposal requests approval for the procurement of BGS supply through a statewide competitive auction process. BGS is the default electric generation supply for RECO customers who do not purchase their electricity from a third-party supplier.A virtual public hearing is scheduled for Thursday, September 10, 2026, at 4:00 PM.
