WTP HVAC Improvements

The Rend Lake Conservancy District is seeking sealed bids for the construction of the WTP HVAC Improvements, RLCD Project 24.09. Bids will be accepted at the RLCD Administration Office located at 11231 Marcum Branch Road, Benton, IL 62812, until 10:00 am local time on September 22nd, 2026, at which point they will be publicly opened and read. The project involves enhancements to the HVAC system at the Water Treatment Plant situated at 11228 Marcum Branch Road, Benton, IL 62812. Bids are to be submitted for a single prime contract on a lump sum basis as specified in the bid form. This project is classified as a 'public work' under the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act, requiring that all contractors and subcontractors pay their workers at least the prevailing wage for the area. A pre-bid conference is scheduled for September 15th, 2026, at 2:00 pm at the District Water Treatment Plant. Bidders can examine the bidding documents at the Issuing Office from Monday to Friday between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm. Copies of the bidding documents can be obtained from the Issuing Office, and they are also available for examination at the Southern Illinois Builders Association locations. Bidding documents can be requested in PDF format via email or in paper form for a nonrefundable fee of $100.00. To be considered a valid bidder, registration with the Issuing Office is required. The date of receipt of the bidding documents will be the date they are transmitted by the Issuing Office. The District is not responsible for documents obtained from other sources.
