ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS   NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Village of Oxford is requesting bids for renovations at the Village of Oxford Fire Station.  Project Bids will be publicly opened on Friday September 11,  2026 at 2 PM at the Oxford Village Hall located at 20 Lafayette Park, Oxford New York. Late Bids will be returned to the bidder unopened.   Project Name, Renovation of Oxford Fire Station – Phase 2A Project #  OFD CAP 2026-  Work site  - Oxford Fire Station - 20 Main Street, Oxford, New York  Provide, deliver, and install in place all material identified within the attached specifications and drawings:   SCOPE: Purchase, provide delivery, and install in place all material identified within the attached specifications and drawings:  The Village of Oxford is requesting sealed bids for the material, labor, equipment, and preparation required to install a concrete pad at the Oxford Fire station, 20 Main Street Oxford NY.   Contractor Responsibilities The selected contractor will be solely responsible for: Site Preparation: Excavation, grading, and subbase compaction. Formwork: Furnishing and installing all forms, expansion joints, and reinforcing steel (rebar/mesh). Coordination: Schedule & manage delivery of the purchased concrete to the site. Execution: Purchasing, Pouring, placing, finishing, and curing the concrete according to the provided engineering specifications. ·         Payroll Certification.  The successful bidder shall possess or obtain under Article 8 of the NY Labor law. a certificate of Registration from the NYS Department of Labor before starting work. All contractors and subcontractors working on projects covered by Article B of NYS Labor las must provide certified payroll records to the New York State Department of Labor through the Certified Payroll portal.   BASE BID 1.     Removal and replacement of the concrete front apron with a new concrete apron, excavating and placing new drainpipes for the front downspouts. Carrying the drainage to the existing drain inlet next to the bridge.  In addition, the contractor will install new steel pipe bollards by the front overhead doors in order to protect the building from accidental vehicle strikes. 2.   Exposing and Repairing expansion joints in the meeting room. 3.   Miscellaneous items including removing the mini step up at the from hallway and replacing them with a ramp, infilling the existing louver to the Mechanical room with block.   Bids must be delivered by hard copy or mailed to 20 Lafayette Park, PO Box 866, Oxford New York 13830, or email as a single PDF file to vgoxfordny@gmail.com, or a single PDF file on a USB drive to: Dawn H. Golden, Village Clerk/Treasurer (607-843-2512). All Bids must be marked  ATTN: VILLAGE CLERK – V-FIRE BID.  The Engineer is Kim Nichols - 8 Midland Hill Road, Oxford New York 13830 (607) 316-2638 or email Knichols6@stny.rr.com.  The bid proposal shall be for all labor, material, equipment, and accessories necessary to complete the scope of work.  Any and all questions regarding this bid are to be directed to Village Engineer.   It shall be the responsibility of each contractor submitting a proposal for this work to have it reviewed and become fully familiar with all specifications and drawings. Additionally, a walkthrough of project site at the Oxford Fire station is scheduled for Monday, August 24, 2026 at 10:00 A.M. whereby each interested contractor can visit the job site (20 Main Street Oxford New York) and become fully familiar with the work area, jobsite conditions, its access, and its limitations. All request for information (RFI) must be received no later than 12:00 noon on Friday, August 28, 2026 via telephone - (607) 316-2638 or email - Knichols6@stny.rr.com   There will be no revisions to the respective contractors for lack of inclusion of items in this or the preceding paragraphs of the Bid Proposal. The Contractor shall be responsible for compliance with all applicable safety and health regulations including the most stringent interpretations of OSHA standards. The insurance requirements of the Village of Oxford are applicable to this project.  Each Contractor shall have the appropriate coverage prior to the start of any work.  The costs of any premiums for this specific insurance coverage shall be included in the Base Proposal. This project is nontaxable. It is at prevailing labor rates and requires any and all contractors to agree to coordinate services on the project.  A Non-Collusive Bidding Certificate shall be included in each bid. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals.   BID documents are available in hard copy or PDF format at the Oxford Village Hall at 20 Lafayette Park, Oxford, New York 13830 during normal business hours Monday – Friday (9:00 am – 1 PM) or online at: http://www.villageofoxfordny.com/bidding-info.php.   The Village of Oxford  strongly encourages participation from certified Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (MWBE). The Village of Oxford invites proposals from underrepresented groups. This applies to all persons without regard to age, race, creed, color, national origin, gender, religion, sexual orientation, disability, military status, marital status, genetic predisposition or carrier status or political affiliation or belief   BID SECURITY - Each Bid must be accompanied by Bid security made payable to the Village in an amount of five percent (5%) of the Bidder's maximum Bid price per contract and in the form of a certified or bank check or a Bid Bond. Bid Bonds shall be duly executed by the Bidder as principal and having as surety company with a minimum equivalent of A.M.  Best and Co. A Rating.  Upon execution of the contract, the Bid deposit will be returned. Failure of the bidder to execute a contract after notification of award of contract will result in forfeiture of the Bid deposit.  Bid deposits of all unsuccessful Bidders will be returned after a contract has been executed by the successful Bidder.    BIDS ARE DUE Friday September 11th  2026 AT 2 PM     Business enterprises awarded an identical or substantially similar procurement contract within the past five years: UNKNOWN
