Interested bidders can preview and purchase the complete bid package for $50.00 directly from the Architect's website: www.bwsplans.com, and they will be added to the official plan holder list. Any contractor submitting a bid must be listed on this plan holder list; bids from contractors not on the list will be rejected.A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for 11:00 AM on Monday, August 31, 2026, at Kearny High School, located at 336 Devon Street, Kearny, NJ 07032. Attendance is strongly encouraged for all bidders.Bidders must complete all bid forms and comply with all requirements in the instructions and specifications. Bids should be submitted in a sealed envelope to Mr. Juan Faciolince, BS, at 172 Midland Avenue, Kearny NJ 07032, clearly marked with the project name, "Chair Lift Addition at Kearny High School." Each bid must include a certified check or bid bond of 10% of the bid amount, not exceeding $20,000.00. All bidders and subcontractors must be registered with the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development as per the Public Works Contractor Registration Act. Bids must also include a Certificate from the Department of Labor and a New Jersey Business Registration Certificate.Bidders are required to comply with the Law Against Discrimination and Affirmative Action requirements. This project is a school facilities project and may be partially funded by the New Jersey Schools Development Authority (SDA). All contractors and subcontractors must agree to the terms of a Grant Agreement from the SDA, available for inspection at the Board office during business hours. Bidders on the State Treasurer's or Federal Government's List of Debarred, Suspended, or Disqualified Bidders are not eligible to bid.Bids must be submitted to the Kearny School District Board of Education by 11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 15, 2026. Bids will be publicly opened and read at that time. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty days following the bid opening. The Kearny School District Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive minor informalities as permitted by law. The contract, if awarded, will go to the lowest responsible bidder whose bid meets all requirements. Acceptance of a bid is contingent upon a formal resolution by the Kearny School District Board of Education.
