UH Replace North Penthouse Air Handlers- Phase 1

Notice to Bidders and Newspaper Advertisement     The State University of New York at Upstate Medical University will receive sealed bids for project number 151295/1571 titled UH Replace North Penthouse Air Handlers – Phase 1 until 2:00 p.m. local time on September 24th, 2026 at Sarah Loguen Center, 2nd floor room number 2005, where such proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud. Proposals may be hand delivered or mailed to the above location and must be received at such time. Scope of work is to provide all necessary labor, material and equipment for the replacement of air handling units BL-4, BL-5, BL-14 and BL-26 located in the North wing penthouse of University Hospital. Scope of work also includes the addition of a steam to glycol hot water heat exchanger within the North penthouse to serve existing preheat and reheat coils associated with air handling units scheduled to be replaced, as well as future heating loads within the North penthouse that will transition from steam to hot water. The work will be phased to ensure minimal downtime of conditioned air to hospital spaces. All work on this Contract is to be completed within 365 calendar days after the date of Notice to Proceed. Section 143 of the State Finance Law requires payment of a deposit to receive these documents. Accordingly, a deposit check of $49.99, made payable to SUNY Upstate Medical University, is required. Deposits less than $50.00 are nonrefundable. Deposits will be waived for certified Minority and Women Owned and Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses. A pre-bid conference and project walk-through will be held on September 3rd, 2026 at 2:00 PM with all contractors assembled at 750 E Adams Street Syracuse, NY 13210 Upstate University Hospital main lobby.
