Energy Economy Planning and Growth Program

Description of goods to services to be bid: By empowering economic development entities, industry partners, and communities to proactively plan and act, NYSERDA seeks to advance New York’s leadership in energy economic development and attract investments and jobs stemming from the Energy Economy, including clean energy supply chains.  Funding is available for projects in three categories: Category A) Regional Planning - technical assistance for Regional Energy Economy strategies; Category B) Industry Plans- funding for plans designed to attract and grow a specific industry across several regions in New York and Category C) Implementation Support – targeted investment for implementation activities. For Categories A and B, NYSERDA has prequalified firms capable of providing the services under this Program herein referred to as “Contractors”. The list of Contractors can be found here. http://nyserda.ny.gov/Contractors/Find-a-Contractor/Energy-Supply-Chain-Contractors   Proposers responding to Category A or B in this Program must select and work with one of these Contractors including in the development of the Proposal Narrative. For Category C, Proposers are not required to utilize NYSERDA prequalified firms. If changes are made to this solicitation notification will be posted on NYSERDA’s website at:www.nyserda.ny.gov/funding-opportunities Eligibility/Qualifications Requirements/Preferences: Any organization with a demonstrated ability to lead local or regional economic development planning and/or Energy Economy supply chain growth initiatives is eligible to submit proposals.  Proposers must be economic development organizations, industrial development agencies, business or cluster associations, economic development departments of government agencies, or similar entities capable of driving regional commitments, collaboration, and implementation.
