NOTICE FOR REQUEST OF QUALIFICATIONS AND PROPOSALCITY PARK ENCLOSED SHELTER RENOVATIONSAUGUST 1ST, 2026CITY OF LAMAR132 WEST 10TH STREETLAMAR, MO 6475926-003CLOSING SEPTEMBER 3RD 2026 10:00 a.m.Request for Qualifications and Proposals: Memorial Hall RenovationThe City of Lamar is soliciting bids for updating and fully inclosing the “enclosed shelter” located in the City Park. The park enclosed shelter has been designated for updating by the City Lamar Park Board and the Lamar Board of Alderman. The updated is expected to include new windows, the addition of insulation, and adding heating and air to the building.Submissions shall be delivered to City Hall, 132 West 10th Street, by September 3rd, at 10:00 a.m. At which time all bids shall be publicly opened. All bids shall be in a sealed envelope, clearly marked as “City Park Enclosed Shelter Update”.   This project is expected to be completed by December 11, 2026.Please direct all questions and inquiries to Heidi Johnson, in writing at .Scope of Work: With the intent to make the shelter more comfortable and allow for use all year the following are expected tasks to be accomplished:                Kraft faced, R 30 batt insulation with metal ceiling                Kraft faced, R 19 batt insulation in the walls                Washable panels on the walls                Kitchen:New counters:Options for:Solid PhenolicStainless-steelFinished, polished concreteKitchen sink,                Double hung windows sized to fit current opening, installed, and trimmedThree Hollow metal doors, insulated with a glass, out swinging, panic access, metal jambs, weather strips, ADA compliant threshold, ball bearing hinges, and closers.Bluetooth capable, programmable door lock                2 mini splits large enough for the shelter and bathrooms                LED can lights, 26                Porch lights with night light.                110 Sockets, count to be determined.  Three, ceiling fans comparable to Hunter Lakeway 72” outdoor ceiling fan without light, model 52767, may need more wiring.BathroomsHDPE stalls for the restrooms, floor mounted with upper stabilization.Options for:Solid PhenolicStainless-steelFinished, polished concreteRoofing replacement options. Please bid cost for bothOption #1 replace the current roof with new asphalt shingles.Option #2 replace the current roof with painted metal roofing.Site Inspection: The shelter is available for inspection Monday through Friday during regular business hours.
