Highway 166 Waterline Extension Project

The Calhoun-Charleston Utility District is seeking sealed bids for the Highway 166 Waterline Extension Project. Bids will be accepted at their office located at 144 Main Street, Calhoun, Tennessee 37309 until 2:00 PM ET on Thursday, September 10, 2026, after which they will be publicly opened and read aloud.The project involves the installation of 13,000 linear feet of 6-inch ductile iron water line pipe. Bidders can examine the Information for Bidders, Form of Bid, Form of Contract, Plans, Specifications, and Forms of Bid Bond, Performance and Payment Bond, and other contract documents at CTI Engineers, Inc., located at 1122 Riverfront Parkway, Chattanooga, TN 37402. For inquiries, they can be contacted via telephone at 423/267-7613 or email at vvisco@ctiengr.com. Additionally, documents can be obtained from CTI Engineers, Inc. at the aforementioned address, with a cost of $50 for an electronic set and $100 for both hard and electronic copies. Please note that payment for plans is nonrefundable.Bidders must provide a security deposit with their bid as specified in the Information for Bidders. All bidders are required to be licensed General Contractors as per the Contractor's Licensing Act of 1994 of the General Assembly of the State of Tennessee and must be qualified for the type of construction being bid. Bidders should also pay attention to employment conditions and minimum wage rates as outlined in the contract. No bidder may withdraw their bid within 60 days after the opening date.
