Economic Impact Study

The San Diego County Regional Airport Authority (Authority) seeks proposals from firms or individuals (“Respondent”) to obtain Services needed to develop an accurate economic impact study (“Study”) that enhances community understanding of the San Diego International Airport (“Airport”) as an economic engine. The findings of this study will be used to:1. Support federal, state, and local funding applications and advocacy efforts2. Inform strategic planning, capital investment prioritization, and master plan updates3. Communicate the Airport’s value to stakeholders, elected officials, and the public4. Benchmark performance against peer airports and regional transportation assets5. Satisfy requirements for economic justification for regulatorsThe primary purpose of this engagement is to produce a defensible, methodology-sound economic impact study that captures the full spectrum of the Airport’s economic contributions. The study must be consistent with industry-accepted methodologies and, where applicable, align with FAA guidance on airport economic impact analysis.A draft scope of work is posted in “Exhibit A” of the draft contractor agreement set forth in the RFP.
