ADVERTISEMENT FOR PROPOSALS #RFP 26-16 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Lake Wales is accepting sealed proposals for: Fire Station No. 3 Project At 2:00 P.M., Prevailing Time on Thursday, September 9, 2026 in the City Commission Chambers at the Municipal Administration Building, 201 Central Ave. W., Lake Wales, Florida, proposals will be opened and read aloud. An original, four (4) copies, and a digital copy on a USB drive of all proposals, including all executed documents and needed attachments, shall be placed in a sealed envelope, marked “RFP 26-16: SEALED PROPOSAL FOR FIRE STATION NO. 3”, and delivered prior to the opening deadline, 2:00 P.M., Prevailing Time on Wednesday, September 9, 2026. Pre-Bid Meeting A NON-MANDATORY Pre-Bid meeting will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. local time at City Hall located at 201 W Central Ave, Lake Wales, FL 33853. Intent The general scope of work for this project is the construction of Lake Wales Fire Station No. 3 located at 0 Nest Egg Rd, Lake Wales, FL 33898. The General Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, and equipment to complete the construction. Responding to the Request for Proposals This RFP is being issued as the second phase of the two-step procurement process initiated in RFQ 26-06 for General Contracting services for the Construction of Fire Station No. 3, closed on April 9, 2026. Only those Respondents who submitted and were pre-approved under RFQ 26-06 are eligible to respond. Proposals received from firms not previously shortlisted will be deemed non-responsive and will not be evaluated. Pre-Qualified Respondents must obtain a complete copy of the Request for Proposals and submit all required forms as outlined in the RFP document with their response. Faxed or e-mailed responses will not be accepted.
