The NORTH JERSEY DISTRICT WATER SUPPLY COMMISSION is seeking to purchase approximately 3000 dry tons of hydrated lime for use at its Water Filtration Plant located in Wanaque, New Jersey. This contract will last for two years, and the quantity is an estimate; the actual needs may vary. Bidders must submit an analysis of the hydrated lime proposed for delivery along with a written affidavit attesting to the validity of the analysis. Sealed bids must be received by the Commission before 1:30 P.M. on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at their offices. Bids will be publicly opened and read at that time. Bid specifications can be obtained via email starting Tuesday, September 8, 2026, by contacting Margaret M. Maddalena at mmaddalena@njdwsc.com. All bids must be submitted using the forms provided by the Commission. Bidders are required to comply with New Jersey laws regarding discrimination in employment and must submit a valid Business Registration Certificate from the State of New Jersey. Each bid must include a certified check or bond for ten percent of the contract price. Bidders are encouraged to visit the site before submitting their bids and must arrange for site inspections by contacting Paul Kearney at (973) 831-3351 during business hours. The Commission will not be responsible for bids that are not properly labeled or submitted.
