Trash Collection Sealed Bid Proposals

The Village of Sorento is looking for sealed bid proposals from companies that provide residential and commercial waste collection services. The current contract will expire at the end of March, necessitating a new contract to begin on April 1, 2027. LRS of Beecher City is the current waste collector for Sorento. Proposals must be submitted by 2 pm on December 3, 2026, at the Village of Sorento Office located at 105 E. Taylor Street, Sorento IL 62086, or they may be mailed to PO Box 55. The proposals will be opened and read at that time, and the results could be discussed during the monthly meeting on December 7, 2026. The Village is requesting that bidders propose contracted terms that include the number of years with additional year options. The Village seeks a company that can provide the best service at the most competitive price while maintaining high-quality service. The Village of Sorento reserves the right to select any bid option, whether it is the lowest or the highest proposal. Bidders will be notified of the decision.
